Polk County Health Center takes a public health approach to address the issue of obesity. Nutrition and physical activity are key to
improving the public's health and preventing and controlling chronic diseases. Polk County Health Center
activities include education, intervention, health promotion, policy and environmental change, social marketing, and local partnerships
to help reduce the negative impact of obesity.
