Community Heroes Volunteers

Community Heroes is the public health volunteer program. The community hero concept is being used by all health departments in Troop D and the main website can be found at http://www.beacommunityhero.com. In addition to providing training and organizing the general public, the Polk County Health Center provides photo IDs for all participating emergency response agencies and responders in Cedar, Hickory, Polk, and St Clair counties free of charge. A database is maintained of all responders for use to log personnel in and out of a disaster area and provide accountability of disaster workers.
